Description
This program is a joint AusAID - DFID initiative focused on the quality
monitoring and evaluation of maternal and child health investments in
Indonesia. Through this project AusAID is managing an independent monitoring
and evaluation team on behalf of DFID to assess the performance of two
DFID funded projects.
- The program aims to develop a common understanding across a broad
range of indicators on maternal health, adopting a rationale that maternal
and child health indicators in Indonesia remain poor despite efforts
of both the Government of Indonesia and the donor community. It is hoped
that collaboration on monitoring and evaluation will lead to lessons
learned and the opportunity to focus on future best practice within
the maternal health sector.
- The program will also support the Government of Indonesia in strengthening
mechanism for monitoring of donor programs and learning lessons to inform
policy.
