Background

The A$1 billion Australia Indonesia Partnership for Reconstruction and Development has effectively doubled the number of scholarships available for postgraduate study in Australia over the next two years.

Description

APS provides funding for up to 600 postgraduate scholarships over two years in the priority fields of economic governance, public sector management and education. Scholarships are available for Masters, graduate diplomas, graduate certificates and other postgraduate short courses. Owing to the need for the applicants to complete the courses of study within a limited time, PhD scholarships are not offered.

Selection for the first and second rounds of APS scholars have been completed. All 600 APS scholars will have commenced study in Australia by semester 1, 2008, and it is anticipated that the APS program will conclude by the middle of 2009.
