Small Activities Scheme (SAS)
(Completed)
The Indonesia-Australia Small Activities Scheme (SAS) has been one of
the most flexible and responsive elements of Australia's aid program to
Indonesia. SAS grants are made to groups, usually non-governmental, which
can show they have a well-planned community-based project and have the
capacity to implement it and manage the funds. The grants might include
start-up funds for new rural industry such as bee-keeping or poultry breeding
or for small water supply and sanitation projects or well-drilling work.
