Project Background

This project has aimed to reinforce the Ministry of Finance's external debt management capacity through the installation of the new computer-based Debt Management and Financial Analysis System, by training the relevant staff in its use and by improving the debt managerial skills of its cadres.

Description of Goals/Objectives

Major Activities include:

  • The provision of advanced training on report production, complex loans, and on data validation.
  • The finalisation of the DMFAS 4.1+ up to DMFAS 5.2 data validation
  • The conduct of data validation on loan classification
  • Translation of DMFAS User’s Guide and Glossary into Indonesian
  • The provision of Oracle training to all relevant staff

This project was initially expected to be completed in September 2002 but got delayed until the second half of 2003. Options for possible follow-up projects are currently being reviewed.
